​​​Friday, October 16th 2026 4:30pm-7:30pm - Austrian Wine Tasting with "Liquid Storyteller" Nick from Siema Wines​

Weingut Steininger Brut, Kamala Austria – A blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc. One-third Chardonnay was aged in small oak barrels, one-third of fruity Pinot Blanc in stainless steel and one-third Pinot Noir was pressed white and stored in small barrels. The yeast gives the sparkling a special creaminess and a wonderfully fine mousseux (fizziness). This sparkling wine is gripping with nutty overtones, brioche and refined bouquet of mocha cream. 

 

Weingut Steininger Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé Sekt, Niederösterreich Austria – A delightful sparkling wine that embodies elegance and freshness. With its tart blackcurrant notes and a light, dry palate, this wine is perfect for any gathering or meal. Whether enjoyed as an aperitif or paired with fine dishes, it showcases the versatility of Austrian rosé.

 

Netzl Grüner Veltliner Classic, Carnuntum Austria – The color is light yellow with fine green brilliance. Delicate aromas of green apple, grapefruit, white pepper and a hint of spices. In the mouth he reveals itself as a lively and fresh character. The taste confirms this with lots of mineral notes and a nice long and crunchy aftertaste.  A delicious aperitif, but Grüner Veltliner is also a culinary partner with light salads, smoked salmon with soy sauce / horseradish, soft to medium ripened cheeses, seafood or even poultry. 

 

Paul Direder Paul D. Riesling 1Lt, Wagram Austria – This exceptional Riesling offers a vibrant bouquet of crisp green apple, citrus zest, and delicate floral notes. On the palate, enjoy a harmonious blend of zesty acidity and lush fruit flavors, balanced perfectly with a clean, mineral finish. Ideal for pairing with light seafood dishes, fresh salads, or simply enjoying on its own. Elevate your wine experience with this exquisite Riesling that's perfect for any occasion.

Muller-Grossmann Zweigelt Rose, Kremstal Austria – The vineyards are in the picturesque Kremstal region along the Danube River. 100 % Zweigelt.  Light salmon pink in color. The nose is fragrant and inviting, showcasing aromas of ripe strawberries, cherries, and subtle floral notes. On the palate, it is fresh and vibrant, with a crisp acidity that highlights the juicy red fruit flavors. The finish is clean and refreshing, with a delicate hint of spice and minerality that lingers. 

 

Paul Direder Paul D. Zweigelt 1Lt, Wagram Austria – Aromas of ripe plum and black pepper. Flavors of cherry and dark berries mingle with nicely balanced acidity, which makes it a great food wine. Perfect for burger or pizza night! This low tannin, soft red wine is also great chilled. A full liter bottle means that you can have that "one more glass". 

 

Hillinger Hillside Red, Burgenland Austria – An organic red wine cuvée. 60% Syrah, 30% Zweigelt, 10% Merlot. Aging: 18 months in barriques (1/3 new oak, 2/3 seasoned oak), followed by 6 months of bottle aging.  Dark ruby red with violet reflections. Aromas of blackberries, raspberries, ripe cherries, smoked meat, and black pepper, supported by a structured tannin finish. Pairs well with beef, lamb, spicy curries, venison, and grilled dishes. 

 

Steindorfer Cuvée Klaus Beerenauslese 375ml, Burgenland Austria – A dessert wine, grapes vary by bottling run (frequently a blend such as Muskat Ottonel and Sauvignon Blanc, or Welschriesling and Pinot Blanc). Aromas of honey, ripe peach, apricot, and stone fruits with a lush, complex palate and balanced, vibrant acidity.  Pairs wells with mildly spicy Asian dishes, blue cheeses, or mild hard cheeses.

​​Friday, October 9th 2026 4:30pm-7:30pm - Sip & Swirl with Mark from Opici Wines​

KRIS Prosecco D.O.C. Extra Dry Sparkling, Veneto Italy – Straw yellow in color, with elegant and refreshing bubbles and a good persistence, this wine is crafted to highlight freshness and a refined character. Floral notes of acacia blossom, wisteria, and lily of the valley, blend with fruity hints of green apple and peach on the nose. On the palate, it is fine and delicate, with an elegant harmony between acidity and sweetness. The wine has a smooth flow and remarkable length, with a savory finish that adds complexity and depth.  Ideal as an aperitif and perfect to pair with any dish from appetizers to meat, fish, or rich and tasty salads.

 

KRIS 2025 Bianco, Treveneziere (Regions of Veneto and Trentino) Italy – 70% Chardonnay, 30% Sauvignon Blanc. Grown in the Northeastern Italian regions of Veneto and Trentino. Both varieties are vinified separately in temperature controlled stainless steel vats to preserve their wholesome freshness and fruitiness and blend when ready. Brilliant yellow color with enticing greenish reflections in the glass, thanks to its well-balanced composition, the wine surprises primarily with aromas of fresh, white-fleshed fruits such as peach and pear and engaging floral notes reminiscent of elderflower as well as pronounced citrus notes. On the palate, it has great structure accompanied by freshness and minerality with a surprising full and long savory finish.Pairs well with tossed salads, any freshly made pastas or risottos, grilled white meat as well as raw fish dishes like sashimi and carpaccio.

KRIS 2023 Pinot Noir, Terre Siciliane Italy – 100% Pinot Noir. At the DNA strand on its label suggest, the Pinot Noir grape has a uniquely adaptable soul, allowing it to express a region’s terroir like none other. Grown at high altitudes in Sicily, KRIS is a full-bodied Pinot Noir closer to the California style than the Burgundy style — but unmistakably Italian in its food friendliness. KRIS Pinot Noir offers rich aromas of ripe cherries and strawberries, brightened by tart pomegranate, and grounded by earthy hints of dried tea and tobacco. Pairs exceptionally well with Speck ham and Taleggio cheese but is also a delicious accompaniment to more casual Italian meals like pasta, pizza and sausages. 

 

Vina Robles 2023 The Arborist Red Blend, Paso Robles California – 92 Points James Suckling. 45% Syrah, 29% Petite Sirah, 14% Grenache, 12% Tannat. The 2023 Arborist opens with deep ruby hues and inviting aromas of dark and red cherries, plum, mocha, tobacco, juniper berry, and savory spice. Medium-bodied and fruit-forward, it delivers layers of cherry and plum accented by subtle notes of mocha. The finish is soft, velvety, well-rounded, and approachable.

The Critic 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley California – 91 Points Tasting Panel. 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot. Dark plum, chocolate-covered figs, and soy sauce develop quickly for an intense start. Chewy tannins match the wine’s suede mouthfeel, adding complexity for a well-priced wine in its category.

Friday, October 2nd 2026 4:30pm-7:30pm - Wine Tasting with Julian from Constantine featuring a few Greek Wines​

Cavino Pandora White, Peloponnese Region Greece – A blend of indigenous Roditis (approx. 85%) and Sauvignon Blanc (15%). Features crisp citrus, lime, lemon zest, and mineral notes with a light body.  

 

Isabel Estate Single Vineyard 2025 Sauvignon Blanc, Wairu Valley Marlborough New Zealand –  93 Points Wine Enthusiast. A yeasty apple character mingles with more typical lime, peach, passionfruit and honeysuckle aromas on this vivid, regionally expressive single site Sauvignon Blanc. It's dry and mouth-watering on the palate with lovely texture and a long citrus rind and peach pit finish. A lovely example of this distinctive style. 

 

Isabel Estate Single Vineyard 2024 Chardonnay, Wairu Valley Marlborough New Zealand – 92 Points Erin Larkin, Wine Advocate. This Chardonnay was produced from the very first vines planted in the north-eastern corner of the estate in 1980. The intensely concentrated grapes result in a wine of elegance, complexity, depth and class. Characters of white nectarine complemented by intriguing gun smoke and flint, vanilla bean and French oak toastiness will delight even the fussiest of Chardonnay devotees. 

 

Union Sacre 2024 Cabernet Franc, Santa Ynez Valley Central Coast California – 93 Points Wine Enthusiast. Candied and maraschino cherry aromas meet with a cotton candy-like kick on the nose of this lively and fruity Cab Franc. There's a sizzle of acidity and ample tension to the palate, where those fresh cherry and berry bubblegum flavors gain depth from white pepper spice.

 

Philotimo 2015 Xinomavro / Cabernet Sauvignon, Northwest Greece & Napa Valley California – 93 Points The Tasting Panel, 90 Points James Suckling. “Philotimo” is named after a Greek concept meaning love and honor within oneself, duty, courage, and respect. This cross-cultural collaboration blending Axios Wine Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon with select French-oaked Xinomavro barrels sourced from Angelos Iatridis of Alpha Estate in Greece. Features medium-bodied structure, fine tannins, wild berries, earth, forest floor, baking spices, plummy preserves, and savory dried fruit accents. 

 

Truth by Axios Wines 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley California – 92 Points James Suckling. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Cooperage/Aging: Aged 18 Months in 25% New French Oak. Full-bodied and plush, this red blend weaves blackcurrant, cedar, and sweet tobacco through a powerful palate with polished tannins and a long, structured finish rich with spice and depth.

Sella & Mosca La Cala 2025 Vermentino Di Sardegna DOC, Italy – 100% Vermentino. Aging: A soft pressing and cold settling is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 64° F (18°C). The wine rests for a short period in stainless steel before bottling. Aromas of fresh citrus and tropical fruit and white flowers accented by a mineral note and a hint of the surrounding Mediterranean vegetation. The wine has firm acidity with a soft, balanced palate which leads to a lingering finish.  

 

Bouchaine Estate Vineyard 2023 Chardonnay, Napa Valley Carneros CA – 93 Points Wine Enthusiast. The orchestration of different yeasts coupled with sur lie aging in stainless steel tanks as well as French oak barrels of different ages, toast levels and origins create an array of unique wines. Only the finest wines are combined in late spring into the vibrant final blend, showcasing the best of the estate. Layered, lovely aromas of fuji apple, clementines, kaffir lime and jasmine. A rich, yet tangy palate showcases flavors of nectarine, lemon curd and brioche with a long lip-smacking finish. Pair this with a roast chicken, a thick pork chop or just good friends.

 

Villa Aix En Provence 2025 Rose, Provence France – 90 Points Decanter.  25% Cinsault, 60% Grenache, 15% Syrah.  Pale pink color. The nose is elegant with floral notes and notes of white peach. On the palate, the wine is round and supple, with a nice tension on the finish. Harmonious and pleasant wine. Pair with charcuterie, grilled fish, and many white meats.

 

Bouchaine Estate Vineyard 2023 Pinot Noir, Napa Valley Carneros CA – 94 Points James Suckling. Bouchaine’s 100-acre estate vineyard lies on the southern border of Napa Valley’s Carneros district, overlooking the San Francisco Bay with the financial district in the distance. Fog, wind, and the cold nighttime temperatures of this unique geographical area lend a distinctive regional identity to this Pinot Noir. A tangy fresh cherry nose opens to cocoa, cola, and notes of nutmeg. The juicy lip-smacking entry shows lovely cherry and wild strawberry flavors with gorgeous rose petals and baking spices in the background. Smooth tannin and vibrant acidity make this a perfect wine for food pairings. 

 

Ron Rubin 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon, Alexander Valley CA – 91 Points James Suckling. A classic, richly layered Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Concentrated blackberry, cassis, and dark plum aromas with notes of mocha and spice. Flavors of ripe black cherry and toasted oak lead to a full, structured palate with smooth tannins. This Cabernet Sauvignon pairs beautifully with grilled ribeye, roasted vegetables, aged cheddar, and hearty mushroom dishes.

Friday, September 18th 2026 4:30pm-7:30pm - Wine Tasting with Ben from Banville Wine Merchants​

Andriano 2024 Pinot Grigio Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT – 91 Points Wine Enthusiast, 91 Points James Suckling. 100% Pinot Grigio.  Soil: Calcareous clay and angular white dolomite stones. Notes of ripe, honeydew melons and stone fruit. Well-balanced, with bright acidity and a crisp finish. A perfect aperitif and delicious with salads or spicy dishes. 

 

Illuminati 2024 Pecorino Controguerra DOC – 100% Pecorino. Soil: Medium-textured soil, clayey. Fragrant and rich in ripe fruit and white flower tones, almond, field herbs and citrus. It fills the mouth well, powerful and very persistent: a correct balance between structure and softness, thanks to freshness and sapidity that accompany the long finish. A wine of a good longevity. Coincidentally, Pecorino cheese is a good match as well as seafood salads, fried zucchini blossoms, anchovies and king prawns.

 

Ca' Viola 2024 Brichet Barbera d'Alba DOC – Barbera. Almost 2.4 hectares of 20 years old vines nestled on Montelupo hills at 400 meters of height. The results are reflected in a wine of tradition that expresses with great elegance the main features of one of the most important Piemontese varietals. The wine spends 15-18 days in temperature-controlled tanks with 12 months in big barrels. Soil: Calcareous marl and clay. Ruby red, juicy, fruity, notes of dried mushrooms. Very approachable in its youth.

 

Illuminati 2023 Riparosso Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC  – 90 Points Wine Enthusiast. 100% Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. Soil: Medium-textured clay. A joyous, fruit-driven red with juicy dark cherries, flowers and spices that seem to jump from the glass. The palate is deep, full, round, and well-balanced with a lingering hint of licorice on the finish. Pairs well with roasted red meats, braised meats, game, poultry, medium-aged cheeses, and it is ideal with lamb. A perfect everyday red wine and always a crowd favorite!

 

Farina 2023 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG – 70% Corvina, 20% Rondinella, 10% Molinara and other native varieties. Soil: A portion of calcareous matrix with gravelly outcrops, or layered with basalts. A minor presence of clay and alluvial. Dark red ruby color, developing garnet hues with age. Ethereal spicy aromas with ripe dark marasca cherry. Robust full-bodied with a velvety mouthfeel and a pleasantly bitter finish. Excellent paired with game, roasted meats and aged cheeses.

Friday, September 11th 2026 4:30pm-7:30pm - Wine Tasting with Lynnett​

Nessa Albarino, Rias Baixas, Spain – 2025 - 92+ Points View From the Cellar. "The “Nessa” bottling of Albariño from Adegas Gran Vinum a fine bottle in the 2025 vintage. The vineyards that contribute to this wine are grown on decomposing granite soils and the wine is given three months aging on its fine lees prior to bottling. The 2025 Nessa delivers a love ly, classic bouquet of fresh lime, tart pear, a touch of menthol, a beautiful foundation of salty minerality, gentle leesy tones and a lovely touch of lemongrass in the upper register. On the palate the wine is bright, focused and full-bodied, with a fine core of fruit, an excellent foundation of minerality, a lovely girdle of acidity and excellent length and grip on the complex and beautifully balanced finish. The extra time aging on its fine lees gives this wine excellent mid-palate depth and impressive backend lift. 2026-2040."

Gambellara, Monopolio, Pinot Grigio,Veneto Italy – 2024 - Crisp, volcanic-origin Pinot Grigio from high altitude older vineyards in the Veneto region of Italy. Due to the volcanic soil and slow ripening periods on the south-facing hillsides, the flavor profile stretches beyond simple citrus notes toward a salty, flinty mineral depth. Fragrant notes of white peach, green apple, white blossoms, and subtle honeyed wax. Full, fresh, and vibrant with rich stone fruit (yellow peach) and distinct mineral depth. Very elegant and complex Pinot Grigio. 

 

Las Colvatillas Garnacha, Calatayud, Spain – 2020 - High elevation vineyards are planted on unique stony, clay, and limestone soils, imparting a distinct mineral character to the wine. High elevations also create drastic temperature swings between day and night, locking in fresh acidity while grapes fully ripen. Deep garnet in the glass, this wine has a bouquet of dark plums, purple fig and freshly ground black pepper.  Velvety, firm tannins, offering flavors of raspberry, black cherry, rose petal, eucalyptus, and milk chocolate. Full-bodied and rock solid at the core and good focus and grip on the long and gently warm finish. Outstanding value!

Bodegas Arrocal Seleccion, Ribera del Duero, Spain – 2021 - 91 Points Wine Spectator, 94 Points View from the Cellar, 94 Points Wine Review Online. 100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) from "Astrales" Single vineyard planted in 1985. Clay-limestone, alluvial sand, and pebble soils lending to mineral backbone. "An herbaceous red, offering an overtone of forest scrub, crushed pine, cedar and brambly herb flavors, with a mix of ripe mulberry, plum skin, raspberry and loamy earth notes. This is bright and light on its feet, with well-knit, fine-grained tannins on the plush finish." Aged for 18 months in 50% New and 50% used French oak barrels.

 Axis Point, Cabernet Sauvignon, Red Hills, Lake County, California – 2024 - 92 Wine Enthusiast, 93 the Tasting Panel Magazine. Distinctive high-altitude volcanic terroir and exceptional quality-to-price ratio are the key points to this wine. The grapes are grown at the foot of Mount Konocti, an active volcano in Lake County near Clear Lake. The roots dig through iron-rich, red volcanic gravel and black obsidian glass, where the region's distinctive red volcanic soils impart a unique mineral character often called Red Hills Dust. This lends a pronounced, structured minerality to the wine that sets it apart from traditional fruit-forward California. "Opulent, with aromas of Olallieberries, brandy-soaked blackberries, dried potpourri, notes of molasses, and toasted oak on the nose. The flavors on the palate are youthful blueberries, orange zest, black tea, allspice, and grippy tannins on the finish.”

Friday, August 28th 2026 4:30pm-7:30pm - Wine Tasting with Stephen from Lanterna

Carboniste Whale – Sparkling Chardonnay, San Benito - Santa Cruz - Sonoma County CA – 95 Points Jeb Dunnuck. 100% Chardonnay.  Release: V.23, 12% ABV, 3,465 bottles. Rich and bright, the generosity California Chardonnay is known for. Aromatics of Gravenstein apple, pear, and yuzu citrus lead into an unctuous, mouth filling palate with zippy lemon curd and a creamy mousse. Winemaking: Barrel-aged, malo-complete, then bottle-fermented in the traditional method. Base wines fermented with native yeast and aged in neutral barrels for up to 30 months (2022 vintage), gaining a creamy texture on top of Chardonnay's natural brightness. Hand-disgorged to an easy-open crown cap. 

 

Sokol Blosser Pinot Gris 2024, Willamette Valley Oregon – 93 Points Decanter. Mild to warm temperatures and not much precipitation until late in October made for a vintage with little to no pressure to pick until the fruit was showing its best flavors and acidity. Green apple and peach on the nose. The palate has more bright fruit; crisp and dry with a slight minerality on the finish. 

 

Greywacke Sauvignon Blanc 2025, Marlborough New Zealand – 94 Points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, 93 Points James Suckling.  Picture a summer picnic table – vases of white blossom, a vibrant salad of aromatic herbs with soft, yellow peach, crunchy pear and a squeeze of juicy lime; apricot sponge cake and custard tarts – a sweet-scented array of ripe deliciousness. On the palate, flavors of honeydew melon and white nectarine mingle with savory notes of crushed seashells and a hint of chalky minerality. A fruit-driven Marlborough style with generosity and weight, it delivers a luscious sense of ripeness that finishes with a mouthwatering lemon-sherbet zing. 

 

J. Bookwalter Foreshadow Cabernet Sauvignon 2022, Columbia Valley Washington State – 93 Points Wine Spectator. 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot, 5% Syrah, 3% Petit Verdot. Deep Garnet. Aromatics: Ripe dark cherry, cassis and black currant, smooth integration of baking spices and cocoa nibs, and a hint of sage. Taste: Juicy entry, rich structure with nice chewy tannins and moderate acid leading to a silky mid-palate driven by ripe fruit notes of dark cherry compote, subtle boysenberry, and lush blackberry. Clean and refined, with notes of chocolate, ripe black fruit, and baking spices. 

 

Lunaria Ruminat Primitivo 2024, Abruzzo Italy – 93 Points Wine Spectator. 'Ruminat' translated from Latin means "Chews", and this wine packs a lot in mouthfeel and on the palate - as primitivo should. Bright ruby red color, in the nose plums, carobs, cherries. The palate is warm, fairly tannic, intense, with a red fruit jam finish.  Pairs well with salami dishes, pasta dishes with tomato sauce, meats.

Friday, July 31st 2026 4:30pm-7:30pm - Wine Tasting with Rob from Global

Antro Chardonnay 2025, Uco Valley Mendoza Argentina – 100% Chardonnay from Tunuyán. On alluvial soils on stones with 30% silty sand matrix, without lime. Fermentation with oxidative method, with indigenous yeasts and 30% skins in a concrete tank, covered with epoxy. Conservation for four months in the same pools. 

 

Ruth Fernandez Rose 2024, Ribera Del Jucar Spain – 78% Bobal, 22% Garnacha. The 2024 vintage delivered outstanding quality and balance thanks to ideal weather. This elegant rosé, made from Isabella's Bobal and Mateo's Garnacha using the *Saignée Method, was aged for two months in neutral American oak.  Pale salmon color with copper hues. Elegant and fresh, with aromas of wild strawberry and white peach. Smooth on the palate, showing red berry and citrus notes with a hint of oak. Bright acidity and a clean, persistent finish. Only 9,247 bottles produced. 

 

Bodega Piedra Negra Malbec Reserve 2023, Uco Valley Mendoza Argentina – 90 Points Wine Enthusiast. Aromas of pink peppercorn and tart berries shape the nose of this Malbec. A soft palate showcases concentrated flavors of blackberries and strawberries, followed by hints of vanilla. Moderate acidity rounds up this simple yet enjoyable red, offering good value.

 

Solito Va Carbónica Malbec 2025, Pampa El Cepillo Uco Valley Mendoza Argentina – 100% Malbec from a 35-year-old vineyard. 10 days of carbonic maceration with brief stem contact, highlighting bright, juicy fruit notes. Fresh cherries, subtle wild flowers, and a lively, energetic palate.

 

Pablo Claro Graciano/Cabernet Sauvignon 2022, Spain – 90 Points James Suckling. Pablo Claro is one of several labels produced by Dominio de Punctum. The Fernández siblings (Jesús, Ruth, and Cristina) founded Dominio de Punctum in 2005. Today they have 200 hectares under vine, all certified organic and biodynamic. The Graciano/Caberent blend has loads of ripe dark fruit, with notes of pepper, smoke, and violets. Juicy and balanced on the palate, with plenty of grip and a long, lingering finish. Excellent!

2024 VGV – 56% Gruner Veltliner, 44% Viognier. The Viognier influenced nose immediately takes you out to an apple orchard, not just the smell of the fruit hanging from the trees, but the leaves, the breeze, and the coolness and serenity they offer. The palate adds further dimension with flavors of apricot, raw honey, lime blossom, jasmine, a slight herbal note reminiscent of green tea, and passion fruit. The finish is marked by the gentle tingle of Gruner's signature white pepper note.

 

2023 Passeggiata – Black Ankle’s favorite house red is back and ready for action!  A long-time staple in the tasting room, the 2023 edition is bursting with energy, showcasing it’s classis crispness and delicate spice alongside notes of black cherry, vanilla, fresh flowers, mixed berries and a slightly earthy accent on the finish. 

 

2022 Rolling Hills – 38% Cab Franc, 34% Petit Verdot, 17% Cab Sauv, 11% Merlot. Notes of lightly smoked cedar lift from the glass alongside classic notes of red currants, dried herbs, and cherry. The palate is serious and stately with pleasantly grippy tannins and good concentration. Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot do the heavy lifting this year and it shows with beautiful brambly fruit accented by sage, tobacco, plum, fresh peppercorn and more currants leading to a snappy, fresh finish. 

 

2022 Crumbling Rock – 47% Cab Sauv, 29% Cab Franc, 18% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot. Opens with aromatics of cedar, violets, sweet tobacco, and cassis leading to a youthful and full-bodied palate with dark berries, mocha, and a slightly smoky note on the finish. Delicious now, but this is going to age magnificently! 

 

2023 Cosecha – 58% Petit Verdot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Syrah, 2% Cabernet Franc. his vintage gives us perhaps the highest proportion of Petit Verdot we’ve ever used in a wine at 58%! It shows when it hits the glass, an inky, impermeable color and a nose of dark fruits and spices. The palate is big and full of flavor with blackberries, peppercorn, asphalt, dried herbs, dark chocolate and substantial, but still very pleasant tannins. With time those tannins will soften up and reveal an even more impressive and expansive wine, so keep a little room in your cellar (or wherever you hide your precious wine)! 

 

Terra Dulce IX Dessert Wine – Smooth, easy to drink sweet wine that would be perfect either before or after dinner. The sugar and alcohol are so nicely balanced that neither prevails over the other. There is no cloying feel on the palate, rather the wine has a rich, juicy feel to it. Terra Dulce IX shows oxidized aromas similar to Sherry. Aromas and flavors of raisins, dates, fig, almond, toffee, tobacco, and cocoa arise then segue into a long, lingering warm finish. Warm and toast on the palate, great with an after-dinner cheese plate, or chocolate, this port-style wine is also a treat on its own.

On the palate, the wine is bright, full-bodied, focused and frothy, with a good core and soil undertow, fine balance and a long, tasty finish. Good juice and a fine value. 

 

Legado del Moncayo 2023 Garnacha Blanca, Campo de Borja D.O. Spain – 91 Points OwenBargreen.com, 90 Points Wine Enthusiast. 100% Garnacha Blanca. Aged for 6 months in stainless steel tanks with fine lees prior to bottling. 50-year-old estate vines set on granite and sandy loam soils. This is salty and fresh with great texture and loaded with bright green apple, kiwi and cantaloupe flavors. Enjoy now and over the next few years. 

 

Legado del Moncayo 2024 Garnacha Rosado, Campo de Borja D.O. Spain – 100% Garnacha, from 10 to 20 year-old-vines.  It delivers an aromatic constellation of watermelon, blood orange, rose petals, a nice base of soil and just a hint of wild fennel in the upper register. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, focused and bright, with a good core of fruit, sound framing acids and good length and grip on the well-balanced finish. The acids here are not particularly strident, so drink this tasty wine over the next year or so.  

 

Rios de Tinta 2021, Ribera del Duero D.O. Spain – 91 Points OwenBargreen.com, 90 Points Wine Enthusiast. 100% Tinto Fino from 20-30 year-old vines Aged for several months in stainless steel tanks prior to bottling. Juicy red plum and red cherry flavors alongside a smooth mouthfeel and great sense of tension, with salty undercurrent.  

 

Isaac Fernandez 2021 Ribera del Duero (Reserva), Ribera del Duero D.O. Spain – 92 Points OwenBargreen.com 100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo), from vines 80+ years old planted in Gobelet.  Aged for 30 months in New French oak barrels (Sylvain Reserve, Taransaud and François Freres). This is complex and delicious with mocha, tar and black licorice notes alongside smoky and salty nuances on the palate. Drink 2025-2033.

Carpineto 2019 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva DOCG, Tuscany Italy – 90 Points Wine Enthusiast. 90% Sangiovese, 10% Canaiolo. The name was adopted from the Renaissance town of Montepulciano, where this wine was originally produced. The name “nobile” was given because in the past its production was reserved exclusively for the aristocratic, noble families of the area. Majority of the wine aged 24 months in a combination of previously used Slavonian oak barrels, while the balance rested in French oak, followed by 10 months in bottle. An ethereal bouquet of violets, cherries, and wood fills the nose. On the palate, it is dry, harmonious, and fruity with a velvety, elegant texture and a long finish. Traditionally, this wine is paired with wild boar but can accompany any game meat. Also great with aged cheeses. This is a cellar-worthy wine.

Rough Day NV Extra Brut (Dry) Sparkling, Danubian Plains Bulgaria. – A Prosecco-style sparkling wine. Fresh, crisp, and slightly creamy, with notes of green apple, lemon zest, and white flowers. Good for a casual drink, parties, or to end a rough day. 

 

Materra 2022 Estate Chardonnay, Oak Knoll District Napa Valley CA – 92 Points James Suckling, 91 Points Wine Enthusiast. This Chardonnay nose opens with notes of white peach, jasmine, and a hint of lychee.  Across the palate, there is excellent purity of fruit with notes of tangerine and rose balanced with subtle, spicy oak. The bright acidity balances the creamy texture beautifully. It’s very lively, with great tension and structure. 

 

Domaine De Nizas 2024 Rose, Languedoc France – 40% Syrah - 30% Grenache Noir, 30% Mourvèdre. The 2024 vintage in Languedoc was marked by a dry winter and spring, leading to prolonged drought and challenges in the vines’ water and mineral nutrition. The summer was also dry, with only a few minor rain episodes. This situation resulted in a naturally very healthy harvest, with no disease pressure. Salmon color with violet hints. Aging in stainless steel tanks on fine lees for mouthfeel richness, and in amphorae for minerality, until the blending for bottling Intense nose with notes of red berries (currant) and citrus (orange zest, sweet mandarin, grapefruit). Vibrant and smooth attack with a fresh, mineral finish and a touch of refreshing bitterness on the finale. 

 

Pepe Yllera 2020 Red Blend, Ribera Del Duero Spain – 92 Points Robert Parker. 10 Months in American and French oak barrel. Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. 15 – 50 Years old vines. It has a brilliant cherry red color with intense blue – purple glints. Powerful on the nose with a great variety of red and forest fruit aromas (vanilla, liquorice) and balsamic (eucalyptus) given by the great wood. Liquorice, cedar and smoke aromas, typical of Cabernet Sauvignon variety. It is soft in the mouth, with a silky, sweet and nice acidity which makes it very fresh, with a long finish and an aftertaste reminiscent of berries and vanilla. 

 

Lobetia Red, Castilla, La Mancha Spain – Made from organically grown grapes at the Dominio de Punctum estate. Aromas of ripe red berries, cherries, and a subtle undercurrent of spice, setting the stage for a truly immersive tasting experience. On the palate, the Tempranillo - Petit Verdot blend unfolds a tapestry of flavors. Juicy red fruit, including plum and raspberry, mingles with notes of blackberry and a hint of vanilla, creating a profile that is both vibrant and elegantly structured. The interplay between Tempranillo’s finesse and Petit Verdot's boldness results in a wine that is well-balanced, with a smooth and lingering finish.
