"Touraine Sauvignon Blanc is Sancerre's lesser-known, affordable sibling that went to public school and took AP classes instead of going to an expensive private school: Get to know it. Lemon in color, this wine has a chalk-dusted nose of green pear, starfruit, quince and white blossom. The palate echoes in proportion to the nose with stoniness on the finish imparting a refreshing lift that begs for another sip."

2022 Elias Mora Joven, Toro, Spain – 92 Points Wine Review Online, 92 Points OwenBarGreen, 91 Points View From The Cellar. "This isn’t priced along the lines of everyone’s idea of an “entry-level” wine, but neither does it taste remotely like a basic offering. The bouquet is complex and alluring at a very high level of expressiveness right after the cork is pulled, showing gorgeous fruit notes that are mostly red in “tone” but also with some black fruit shading, along with light toasty accents and a lovely spiciness. All these notes are echoed on the palate, with medium body but a very high ratio of flavor to weight. It is true — but nevertheless difficult to believe — that this was exposed to 100% new American oak, even if only for 6 months, as the wood notes lend complexity without remotely taking over the wine. Immensely enjoyable now, with wonderful purity of fruit, this is still a serious wine with a serious future, during which it will improve for at least five years and maybe longer."

Vina Jaraba Seleccion Especial la Jaraba D.O.P. 2020 – 92 Points Wine Review Online. "Silky and marvelously graceful for all the flavor and pleasure that it delivers, this is obviously well-made wine sourced from skillfully grown fruit. Nearly full-bodied but very soft in texture, this is what — for most consumers and especially restaurant guests — Merlot was supposed to be but never quite was, and what Malbec was for a while before it wore out its welcome with many tasters. A blend of 70% Tempranillo, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Merlot, this shows both red and black fruit tones but leans more toward black fruit. It is serious without being stern, as wonderfully fine tannins and reserved oak make this extremely inviting already, though it can stand up to formidable foods and become much more complex as tertiary notes build in over the next decade. Friday, May 16th 2025 4:30pm-7:30pm - Wine Tasting with Ben from Banville Wine Merchants

Koha Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough New Zealand – Appealing floral aromatics with notes of citrus and lemongrass, and bright tropical hints of passionfruit and guava. The lemon zest and passionfruit theme carries through the palate, supported by delicate black currant and aniseed notes. The finish is crisp and clean with hints of lingering spice and a touch of chalky minerality.

Donna Laura Ali Rosato, Toscana Italy – 100% Sangiovese.  Showing a light pink color. The nose displays hints of strawberry, red cherry and pink grapefruit. The palate is fresh and vibrant and has a pleasant and long-lasting finish.

Illuminati Riparosso Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Italy – A joyous, fruit-driven red with juicy dark cherries, flowers and spices that seem to jump from the glass. The palate is deep, full, round, and well-balanced with a lingering hint of licorice on the finish. Pairs well with roasted red meats, braised meats, game, poultry, medium-aged cheeses, and it is ideal with lamb. A perfect everyday red wine and always a crowd favorite!

Maison Noir OPP Pinot Noir, Oregon – 100% Pinot Noir. Fruit sourced from several of the finest vineyards in the Willamette Valley, it is this combination of grapes from a variety of appellations that creates a wine that is broad and complex with many layers. 7 day cold soak, with an additional 18 days of skin contact, fermented in stainless steel; aged in French oak 30% new oak; aged 10 months. Other People's Pinot is classic Oregon Pinot - earmark Willamette Valley. It is accessible; a great value; and stays true to vineyards from which it was born.

Andeluna Raices Malbec, Mendoza Argentina – The grapes used to make this wine come from Andeluna's vineyards in Mendoza. The dry climate helps to produce healthy grapes that are small in size and consequently powerful in aromatics. Bright red color with violet hues. Floral, fresh, and fruity aromas with notes of black and blue fruits such as plum and blueberries. Soft, well-integrated tannins with an elegant, long finish.

Friday, May 9th 2025 4:30pm-7:30pm - Wine Tasting with Nick from Siema

La Cappuccina Filòs Spumante Brut (NV), Veneto Italy – This Garganega based Spumante has a refined appearance of yellow straw and a fine, abundant mousse. It shows light almond aromas and is full in the mouth with savory and ripe fruit notes. A great alternative to Prosecco, and it pairs beautifully with soft burrata cheese.

Matteo Soria Moscato d'Asti Del Nido, Piedmont Italy – Pale straw yellow with fine, persistent bubbles. Intensely aromatic with notes of fresh peach, apricot, acacia flowers, and a hint of sage. Light-bodied, sweet, and delicately fizzy, with vibrant flavors of ripe peach, pear, and citrus zest. The sweetness is perfectly balanced by bright acidity, leading to a clean and refreshing finish. Crisp, clean, and long-lasting with lingering floral and fruity notes.

Paul Direder Riesling, Wagram Austria – Fruity, refreshing Riesling with subtle notes of grapefruit. Floral aroma with a pleasantly mild acidity.  Ideal to enjoy!

Steininger Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé (2024), Niederösterreich Austria – Beautiful salmon rosé color, on the nose filled with dark red berries and cassis, following through on the palate with nice structure. Medium-bodied and elegant, although perceptible density in the finish. An aromatic and refreshing wine.

La Cappuccina Madègo Rosso, Veneto Italy – Cabernet Sauvignon 80%, Merlot 10%, Carmenère 10%. “Madègo”, the name of the vineyard is the word in the local dialect for the  harvest of the alfalfa that was once grown on this plot of land. It is a red wine that should be drunk young in order to enjoy its full, fragrant fruit at its best. Its forthright bouquet displays berry fruit notes and well-integrated hints of oak. Well-balanced with soft tannins.  Pairs well with roasted or grilled meats and with cheeses.
