This medium-bodied wine has a mineral and saline note that adds verve to the juicy citrus and stone fruit finish. Look for that signature creamy, honeyed note mid-palate.

Passeggiata 2022 – Passeggiata is made from Black Ankle’s bleed wine. Once the tanks are filled, their run off or "bleed" a portion of the juice. The bleed portion can be anywhere from 15% to 40% of the total juice volume. This bleeding process allows for a greater skin to juice ratio in their primary wine, which helps to increase depth, richness, and concentration. The bleed juice is put into a separate tank and is fermented cold and slowly, similar to how their whites are fermented. Once the main wine tank is drained, they put the bleed juice back into the tank for a second time so it can soak up all that the cap has to offer to create the foundation of their Passeggiata!

Penner-Ash 2021 Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley Oregon – 92 Points James Suckling. The 2021 growing season started relatively warm and dry, with an early heat event in May. An abnormally cool front in June was followed by a major heat dome leading us into one of the warmest growing seasons on record. Warm temperatures continued throughout the summer and September rains gave the vines the last drink of water before harvest. 10 months in 30% new French Oak. Aromas of spiced raspberries and ripe Hood strawberries gently fold into warm vanilla oak. Rainier cherry and cocoa provide a savory sweetness and weight on the palate leading to a lengthy finish.

Captûre 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon, Pine Mountain-Cloverdale Peak Sonoma County CA – 93 Points Jeb Dunnuck. Philosophy: The desolate mountain slopes of the Pine Mountain-Cloverdale Peak AVA tower 1,600 to 3,000 feet above sea level in the rugged Mayacamas Mountains, where extreme conditions push vines to their limit. Captûre's vineyard sits atop this extreme slope that offers a new winemaking challenge and the chance to capture the next peak. Pine Mountain Vineyard: Capture’s Pine Mountain vineyard straddles the peak, a jaw-dropping 3,000 feet above sea level. The unforgiving mountaintop is dry with fine volcanic gravel and rocky patches offering no traction for anything but the hardiest grapevines. The clusters that survive here are few, small, and sparsely fruited – giving every tiny, thick-skinned berry the space to reach its full potential. This desolate place is planted primarily to Cabernet Sauvignon, with smaller blocks of Merlot and the highest elevation Sauvignon Blanc in the U.S. Tasting Notes: Dark and brooding, the 2019 Cabernet is mysterious and full of power. Cassis, maraschino cherry and faint whiffs of cola start the journey. On the palate, a very generous amount of velvety mountain tannin is caressed into an almost endless finish. Some soft vanilla notes, more dense black fruit: black berry, cherry and cedary spice combine to entice another sip.

Maison Lispaul 2022 Sauvignon Blanc, Loire Valley France – 100% Sauvignon Blanc. Maison Lispaul is a family estate in the Loire Valley in Tracy sur Loire, in the heart of the appellation of Pouilly-Fumé, across the Loire River from Sancerre. From a 3-hectare declassified vineyard in Pouilly Fume. Thanks to the locality of the Loire River (the longest wild river in the country), the soil is rich in clay and limestone so produces high quality grapes. The limestone and flinty clay that are indigenous to the Pouilly-Fumé appellation give the wine its instantly identifiable smokey quality — hence the name “Fumé”. The Val de Loire IGP is made from 100% Sauvignon grapes at David and Shirley Maudry’s dynamic, young estate. The vineyards are 3-4 years old and are sustainably managed. The wine is fragrant, fresh, and juicy with a slight grassy edge. It is packed with zesty, citrus fruit and green apple flavors, and has a crisp finish.

Domaine de la Mordoree 2019 Lirac Rouge la Dame Rousse, Rhone France - 93 Points Wine Enthusiast. 50% Grenache, 50 % Syrah. Robert Parker Jr. of The Wine Advocate pinned Mordorée as "one of the world’s greatest wine estates"...the top cuvees of Châteauneuf-du-Pape are rare and expensive, but this is a place to find terrific Cotes du Rhones and Liracs as well. Delorme is equally adept at dry whites as well as reds and turns out some stunning roses both under the Cotes du Rhône and Tavel appellations...". This highly aromatic Lirac showcases ripe wild strawberries and black cherries atop aromas of crushed rose, clove, wild thyme, and fresh potting soil. The palate delivers perfectly ripe blackberries and plums with a sprinkle of black pepper, sitting prominently on a firm granitic layer. Brisk acidity gives balance to this rich wine.

Lexicon Napa County Cabernet Sauvignon, California – New Vintage - 60% percent of the juice here is sourced from the uber prestigious Oakville AVA of Napa Valley, complemented by juice from Pope Vally in Northern Napa. Lexicon varietal wines are carefully selected by Master Sommelier Fran Kysela to show the essence of each variety, along with its terroir of origin, both of which are essential elements of a good wine. It offers rich and concentrated fruit aromas of red and black currant, cassis, and black cherry along with black pepper and dried herb accents. It is soft and generous in the mouth, intense and complex, with supple tannins and elegant structure.

San Román 2020, Toro Spain – 95 Points Vinous Media, 93 Points Wine Advocate, 93 Points Wine Spectator. 100% Tinto de Toro. 60-100+ year-old vines on stony and sandy/clay soils. Produced by legendary Spanish wine maker Mariano Garcia of Vega Siciliafame and his two sons. "The 2020 San Román, according to winemaker Alberto García, aims to "flatten the Michelin," referring to Toro's rich style. This garnet wine presents sour cherry aromas intertwined with oak, vanilla, and wild herb notes. Dry, creamy, and juicy on the palate, this taut red offers a structured mouthfeel with a subtle lactic texture. This is a fresh style for the region."

Aged seven months in stainless steel, enjoy within 1-2 years.

Unoaked Chardonnay– The classic Burgundian variety made in an unoaked style. Dijon clones of Chardonnay grown on their well-drained soils give this wine a lean, crisp minerality. Aged seven months in stainless steel.

Rosé – A dry rosé made using both the direct press and saigneé methods. This wine is great for a summer day at the vineyard or as a versatile food pairing wine. Enjoy within 1-2 years. Aged seven months in stainless steel.

Circe – A light-bodied red blend meant to drink young. A great example of how fruit forward, early release reds can have complexity and depth. Made with fruit from the amazing 2022 vintage, this may be our finest Circe to date. Aged seven months in French oak.

Merlot – This is the first single varietal Merlot that we have produced since 2006. This vintage was exceptional for the variety, and we felt it needed to be bottled on its own. Delicious and fruit forward in its youth, we think it will age beautifully over the next few years. Aged seven months in French oak.
